Descripción del Curso
This course will provide an overview of key laws relating to federal contracting and explore some of the complexities associated with disaster recovery purchasing by the federal government. As Puerto Rico recovers from Hurricanes Irma and María, hundreds of billions of dollars will flow from the federal government to the local economy over the next decade through federal contracts. Topics taught will include procurement registration process and certifications necessary to win a federal contract, small and minority owned business entity programs, and issues related to alignment of federal acquisition rules with Puerto Rico employment law.
Allison D. Pugsley, Esq. Hogan Lovells, Partner; has more than a decade of experience representing biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies in connection with federal procurements. She advises on the full life cycle of government contracts: preparing and submitting an offer, contract negotiations, contract administration, contract modifications, and contract terminations.
